Il corvo blu è una favola sulla discriminazione, l'allontanamento, il viaggio, il coraggio ed il ritorno.
Gelsomino è un piccolo corvo che ha due grandi difetti: non sa gracchiare ed ha il becco blu, per questo è chiamato il corvo blu. Due difetti appariscenti e abnormi in una società di corvi gracchianti dal becco nero. Ha però un pregio: sa cantare e suonare molti strumenti musicali. Un pregio che la sua comunità considera inutile se non addirittura sconveniente, quasi un nuovo difetto, ancora più vistoso degli altri.
In breve la comunità decide di allontanarlo e Gelsomino inizia il suo viaggio accompagnato soltanto dai suoi strumenti.
Le ricorrenze e gli intrecci sono quelli della favola classica, così l'ambientazione, il viaggio, la lotta contro Mortuo il gigante, il ritorno. Non i personaggi, al limite tra il fantastico e il contemporaneo. Non il narratore, guida e punto d'incontro tra memoria e attualità della storia, tra attori, maschere, spettatori e strumenti musicali.
Sì, perché anche la musica ha un ruolo in questa favola ed accompagna ogni voce ed ogni gesto della storia. Perché Gelsomino dovrà tornare a casa e tornerà soltanto per insegnare a suonare e a cantare a tutti i membri della sua comunità.
Il corvo blu is a tale about discrimination, going away, travelling, courage and returning.
Gelsomino is a small raven with two big defects: he can't caw and his beak is blue. This is why he is called the blue raven. These are two enormous defects in a society of cawings ravens with black beaks. He has a quality though: he can sing and play many instruments. Unfortunately his community considers these qualities useless if not appropriate, almost another defect.
The community decides to send him away and Gelsomino begins his trip with as his only companions his instruments.
The plot is that of a classical tale, just as the setting, the trip, the battle against giant Mortuo and his return home. The characters are on the border line between the fantastic and contemporary. The narrator is the guide and meeting point of past and present of history, between actors, masques, spectators and instruments.
Yes, because even music has a role in this tale and accompanies every voice and gesture of the tale. Because Gelsomino shall go home and he shall do so only to teach how to play and sing to all the members of his community.
